In accordance with the Louisiana Public Records Law (La. R.S. 44:1 et seq.), individuals may request access to public records maintained by Helix Community Schools by submitting a written request to the Custodian of Public Records. Student education records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and related state laws, and are not considered public records. Requests for student records must be submitted directly to the appropriate school using the contact information provided below. Requests properly submitted to the Custodian of Public Records will be reviewed and responded to within the timeframes required by Louisiana law.
