Hey Y'all, Hey!

My name is Bianca Jones and I am honored to serve as the 9th and 10th Grade School Counselor at Baker Helix High School. As a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), I bring a strong foundation in education, mental health, and student advocacy.

With experience as both a classroom teacher and school counselor, I understand the academic, social, emotional, and personal challenges students may face throughout their high school journey. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern University and A&M College, and I am committed to helping students discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and reach their full potential.

Beyond my counseling role, I am proud to be the founder of the Buffalo Wellness Pantry, which provides essential resources to support student well-being. I also serve as the sponsor of the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Young Ladies of the Herd, where I have the privilege of developing student leaders and encouraging service, character, and personal growth.

My mission is to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where every student feels seen, heard, respected, and empowered. Whether students need academic guidance, social-emotional support, college and career planning, or simply someone to listen, my door is always open.

I firmly believe that every student possesses unique talents, limitless potential, and the ability to make a meaningful impact. By partnering with students, families, educators, and the community, we can cultivate an environment where every Buffalo is equipped to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As I often remind my students, "Keep shining and never let anyone dim your light."

I look forward to a school year filled with growth, success, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to make a lasting difference in the lives of our students.

Hello Baker Family! My name is Renaldo Lee. It is a true privilege to honor Baker's rich history, give my absolute best to our current students, and inspire the leaders of tomorrow.

My educational roots run deep in Louisiana; I attended THE Southern University for my undergraduate degree and obtained my Master’s in Educational Leadership from LSU Shreveport. Over the past 11 years, I have loved every minute of working with students as an English teacher, History teacher, and Reading Specialist.

Nothing brings me greater joy than helping our students unlock life-changing opportunities, from earning scholarships to getting accepted into their dream programs. I am always here to support you, so please feel free to reach out at any time!
