Helix Heads to Italy & France — Summer 2027!

We’re excited to announce that Helix Community Schools students will have the opportunity to travel abroad to Italy & France in Summer 2027! This unforgettable experience will immerse students in new cultures, iconic landmarks, global history, and hands-on learning that builds independence, confidence, and academic growth. This opportunity will be for Helix Community Schools students who will be in 9th - 12th grade for the 2026-2027 school year!

Enrollment will open during the meeting, and spaces are limited — so don’t miss out! In the meantime, families can explore EF’s website to find helpful FAQs and learn more about our trusted student-travel partner with 60 years of experience. PRAA: Stay Informed: Free Real-Time Bus Updates with TextCaster

Helix Community Schools, in partnership with DS Bus South, is proud to utilize TextCaster—a free text messaging service designed to keep our entire school community instantly updated on school bus statuses, service delays, and important transit notices.

We highly encourage both parents and school staff to enroll in this service. For staff, subscribing to the buses that serve your school ensures you receive the exact same real-time notifications as parents, making it easier to assist with transportation inquiries. For parents, it brings peace of mind and timely information straight to your phone, reducing the need for stressful morning phone calls.

How to Enroll:

Step 1: Visit the official TextCaster Enrollment Page.
Step 2: Input your preferred text/contact information.
Step 3: Scroll down to select Helix Community Schools and check the boxes for the specific bus route(s) you need to track.

Already Enrolled? You do not need to register again. However, if your child changes buses or you get a new phone number, simply return to the enrollment page and click "Update Message Preferences" to keep your account current.

Here is our official student uniform guide.

Daily Uniform by Grade Level (Khaki Pants Required):

Freshmen: White Polo
10th Graders: Gray Polo
11th Graders: Red Polo
Seniors: Black Polo
Note: The school logo is REQUIRED on all uniform polos.

Well Dressed Wednesdays:

White button-down shirts are required for all students.
Girls: Black skirts (or optional plaid) or black pants with a black or red cross tie.
Boys: Black pants with a black and red striped necktie.
